She knew this would be her only opportunity to try and escape his clutches of brutality.
She had been secretly planning this for weeks now, thinking of any way she could get out of the horror that was her Master's house. Even as he spoke to her and caressed her hair, telling her that she was his and only his alone—she was repeating the plan in her head, allowing her mind to float and dissolve into another place where she was free of her crazed Master. It was what kept her hope strong and prominent, even with his grotesque habits he kept up. Her thoughts of leaving this place and finding freedom and somebody who wouldn't show her such monstrosities were what kept her going—they were the one sole thing that kept her sparks from dying down.
And tonight when her Master fell asleep, she would make her escape she so yearned for.
Nighttime had come slower than it had any other day, though BunBun assumed this was due to the nerves of executing her plan. When she was simply daydreaming about it to escape to another place where her Master wasn't holding her with a cold, scary embrace, she felt confident and strong about leaving. But as her chance drew closer and closer within the day, her stomach knotted up and her heart clenched wildly, time passing by with an agonizing slowness as before the night had finally arrived—the sun finally descending into the oceans as the moon decided to show it's face.
She made sure that her Master was sound asleep, her tufted pink hair falling over her shoulders as she checked his corridors. She found him to be sound asleep, glancing at him with a belated look of pure hatred and repulsion for what he had done to her in the past. She was glad that she would finally be leaving the man who had condemned her to this house since her childhood, the man who had destroyed everything beautiful she could have had. Now she would finally be able to snatch beauty up and embrace it in the real world when she left this wretched man behind.
Just as she turned—her petite toes hit against the wall and she couldn't help her instinctual squeak of pain that came from thumping her toe against the hard surface. Her crystal blue hues immediately wrenched wide open with realization that she had made a noise far too loud for her Master to miss, her voice beginning to rasp as she breathed—knowing that if her Master caught her out of her room she would receive a painful and unforgiving punishment. He would surely lock her into her room for a time longer than she could ever fathom. BunBun attempted to catch her breath despite the fear that now wracked through her entire body like electric thunder, waiting a moment to absorb the silence around her. Her rabbit ears twitched above her as she listened for any creaks or movements from her Master, though there was no avail.
He wasn't coming for her. He was still asleep.
"Now, now… Where are you going, my little rabbit?"
That voice was enough to make her blood run cold and make her heart stop momentarily—her eyes widening with the uttermost horror and disquietude that made her whole body shake within a matter of movements. Before she could even think of what to do, her body began to move for her as she bolted off through the hall with a rumbling sense of urgency, tears already beginning to sting at her eyes. She knew that she was in trouble now, and she knew the door to her freedom wasn't that far away, but all she was thinking of now was her survival. If she was caught by this hunter of a man—she would never be able to see her paradise she dreamed of. She knew running would make it worse but her legs moved before she could—before her brain could process any thought, and before she knew it, she was running through the house, away from the man who claimed ownership over her.
She could hear his footsteps behind her, faintly but definitely there. It didn't seem as though he was rushing to catch her in his trap—which was the eeriest part about it. Here she was, running for her very life, while he slowly paced himself behind her. It was as if he didn't believe she could make it to the door that was only a few feet from her reach. Her breathing was raspy with tiredness and her voice was barely above a wheeze as she extended a tiny little hand to grasp at the knob, grabbing it and beginning to twist with all the strength she could muster in her frail state, but the doorknob didn't open. She couldn't help the scream of fear that tore from her throat when she found she needed to unlock the door, hearing the man's footsteps approach closer and closer behind her. Her trembling fingers struggled to undo the lock as she panted and wheezed, but just as her fingers tweaked the lock on the knob, she felt a powerful hand yank her backwards.
"What a bad rabbit… I let you run, but you can never escape."
His sultry voice made her scream with absolute terror—tears dripping down her cheeks and falling against the floor below her as she was tugged backwards again, feeling her neck being crushed with the fabric of her dress. He was brutal and showed her absolutely no mercy in tugging her into his arms, purposely closing his embrace over her in an overbearing, horrific way that made her scream with remorse, her eyes burning with the tears that continued to drip down her face.
"I'm sorry, Master—!! I'm so sorry! I'm sorry!"
Only apologies tore through her throat as his hand entangled into her pink locks, yanking her head back to look up at him. She squealed in pain at the force in which he had tugged on her hair, being forced to look at the face she despised and feared so completely. He only smiled upon looking at her tear stained cheeks and puffy, red eyes—her cheeks flushed pink with her efforts as she continued to whimper in cowardice up at him. He kept her there, trembling and being forced to look up at him whilst being crushed intensely in his cold embrace. He was warm—he was there in the physical tense, but he was cold and gone into the pits of madness in every other way.
"You're mine and only mine, BunBun. You will never leave me; you will never belong to another."
And with that he ran his fingers against her wet cheeks, "accidentally" scratching at her delicate flesh and causing a single trickle of blood to mix with the salty tears that continued to trip—the redness dripping off her chin along with the tears, causing the tiny rabbit-girl to tremble with absolute horror as he enclosed on her.
"Mine forever."
